With the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City launching their new third kits, Italian club Inter Milan have now launched their new third kit for the 2014-15 season.
Showcasing the club’s traditional colours with a bold and modern appearance the new Inter Milan third kit boasts a two toned sky blue design. This is the same kit template seen on several of Nike’s other third kits for big teams including Barcelona, PSG, Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus and Galatasaray. The club’s new crest is embroidered on the upper left side of the shirt.
The front of the shirt features a lighter tone of blue while the back of the shirt features a darker tone of blue. The kit is completed with sky blue shorts and socks. The two tones of blue are divided by a black stripe on the shoulders and sides of the shirt.
Creative Director of Nike Football, Martin Lotti said, “The half-and-half appearance is a traditional football design, but we added a new twist, we wanted to utilize vibrant colour so the kits look brighter at night against the grass and beneath floodlights. Under a dark sky, the kits will look electric, as if powered by batteries, and will provide a flash of colour on the pitch.”
A black pennant tab is featured behind the neck which features the phrase “Milano E’ Solo Inter” (Milan is only Inter).
The new kit will be worn by the club in the Europa League where they are pooled with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Saint-Étienne and Qarabağ.
