Inspired by classic Manchester City designs, Premier League giants Manchester City have officially launched their new home kit for next season.
Again supplied by Nike Football, the new home shirt again features the traditional sky blue base with additional white trim on the buttoned polo collar. With navy blue trim seen on last season’s home shirt, the new home shirt replaces navy blue with white trim for a fresh look.
On each flank a white stripe is used which flows on to the white shorts with a blue stripe on the flanks. As part of the launch City fans were brought in to take photos and see exclusive behind the scenes operations.
Additional white trim is seen on the sleeve cuffs and top of the socks to complete the design. The Nike Big Swoosh logo and Etihad Airways sponsor are navy blue, the same navy blue seen on the previous home shirt for City.
The collar on the shirt is a strong visual reference to Manchester’s take on casual wear as it is structured yet laidback and is influenced by aesthetics synonymous with the city’s legendary music and fashion scenes.
